The Mission Statement of

Live Oak United Methodist Church

To preach and teach the Word of God and to proclaim the plan of salvation found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ given to all humanity for the grace of God.

To provide meaningful worship that inspires and encourages all ages to seek God's will and to follow God's Word.

To reach out into the community with the Gospel and to meet as many of the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the people as we can through our counseling program, our education program, our youth and children's ministries, our food pantry and the many other areas of ministry that God gives, directs and raises up.

Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 6: 00 pm

Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 p.m.

How may I contact staff?

Telephones are answered by the church secretary during our office hours. After office hours, an automated answering system will allow you to leave a voicemail. You may also email our staff, using the links provided on the "Meet the Staff" page.

What if I have a prayer need?

When is childcare available?

Childcare is available for children six weeks through four years of age during all worship services, Sunday school and all scheduled Bible studies and ministry meetings.

What counseling services are offered?

We provide affordable, professional Christian counseling to individuals, couples, and families across Livingston Parish regardless of culture, race, religion or ability to pay.

How do I schedule a dedication or baptism?

Please call our church secretary during regular office hours to schedule the Sunday which you would like your child to be dedicated or baptized. At this time, you will also make an appointment with the pastor to discuss what baptism means for your child and family.

How do I schedule a wedding?

Please call our church secretary with the date and time you have in mind. She will check the church calendar to see if the date and time are available. After confirming the date and time, you will be required to come in to leave a deposit and pick up a wedding guide.

What do I do if someone in our family is hospitalized?

Contact the church office so that the pastoral staff can be alerted and offer visitation, prayer and support as appropriate.

What do I do in the event of a death?

The church should be contacted immediately. Please keep the church informed of funeral home arrangements, visitation and service day and time. What if I move? Please contact our church secretary either by phone or email with all personal information changes.
